A Place To Pause, Reflect, And Think Differently.

I’ve always been curious about the person behind the performance – what drives us, what gets in our way, what gives us energy, and what happens when we give ourselves permission to do something different.
My writing is where I explore those questions.
Through my Who Do You Bring to Work? series, I bring short reflections around four themes.
  1. Know Yourself
  2. Find Your Voice
  3. Lead Human
  4. Rethink Success
These four themes sit at the heart of much of my writing and my own thinking about leadership. Click on any of the themes below to further explore.  My hope is that something here makes you pause, see yourself – or your work – differently, and consider what might be possible from there.

01

KNOW YOURSELF

Self-awareness • Authenticity • Alignment

What matters to you? What drives you? What have you learned about yourself along the way, and are you actually living and leading in alignment with it?

02

FIND YOUR VOICE

Courage • Conviction • Disagreement • Boundaries

Finding your voice isn’t about being the loudest person in the room. It’s about having the courage and conviction to show up as yourself.

03

LEAD HUMAN

Connection • Empathy • Generosity • Relationships

How well do you really listen?  Connect?  How do you make others feel?  Can you meet people where they are?

04

RETHINK SUCCESS

Performance • Ambition • Sustainability • Perspective

What does success mean to you?  How do you sustain high performance long term?

01

Do you bring your happy place?

Sometimes we can’t change the moment we are in, but we can change what we bring to it.

Don’t forget your smile.

Because of what happens inside your brain when you do.

Do you bring puppy vibes?

Why shouldn’t we bring a softer version of ourselves to work?

Do you bring your five senses?

Our senses are always with us. We just have to pause long enough to notice them.

When a transition isn’t just about finding your next role, it’s about deciding who you’re bringing into it.

The most thoughtful next moves often begin by taking inventory of the new you.

Ever feel bogged down?

Real transformation begins by meeting ourselves exactly where we are.

And where do you do your best work?

My best work rarely happens sitting at a desk or in a conference room.

02

When you strongly disagree?

Some of the biggest growth moments in my life came when I was willing to respectfully say: “I think you’re wrong.”

Bringing your Scrappy

My parents built something from nothing and taught me that scrappy isn't something to hide: It's a mindset and a way of life.

When the path forward isn’t clear?

Finding your rocks and using them to make a move.

When you lose the ball?

The hardest part wasn’t the fall. It was climbing back onto a four-inch beam knowing I still had another minute of one of the most difficult routines of my life ahead of me.

03

Do you bring your heart?

Sometimes we can’t change the moment we are in, but we can change what we bring to it.

Do you bring Mudita?

Sometimes the greatest measure of character isn’t how we handle our own success. It’s how wholeheartedly we celebrate someone else’s.

The quiet power of micro-validations

The best leaders and coaches I’ve known consistently notice and name the good in people - often before those people fully see it in themselves.

Do you bring your 5 minutes?

You never know when 5 minutes might change the course of someone's career...or their life.

The art of lingering…are we human beings or human doings?

When did slowing down become something we need to justify?

When Feedback Backfires

The moment someone entrusts us with feedback about someone else, our leadership is tested.

04

Do we need to bring our “A+” game every day? Is a B or B+ Ok?

What can we learn about sports cross-training in the workplace?

The Comparison Trap

Most people don’t lose confidence because they lack talent. They lose confidence because they keep measuring themselves against someone else.

Avoiding or embracing AI?

What if AI isn’t replacing us, but revealing what we value most?

What does it really mean to live fully?

Fear deserves a seat at the table. It just shouldn’t sit at the head of it.

Can you grow from the cracks?

The more years that go by, the more I notice how often good things at work begin when we’re not standing on solid ground.

The Story Behind the Logo

I’m so glad you clicked on the logo. It tells a story, and it’s one I’m pretty passionate about. I’m a big believer in being grounded in the Earth while staying connected to something bigger than ourselves. I believe we are each part of something greater, and that every one of us carries our own unique gifts, strengths, and special magic.
That belief is at the heart of this logo. Look closely and you’ll see roots grounding to the Earth. They represent where we begin: grounded, connected, and rooted in who we are. And at the center, you’ll find a compass. Because I believe we each have an internal compass. It points toward who we are, what matters to us, and where we want to go. And inside that compass is gold. That gold represents the special magic I believe every one of us carries within.
Sometimes we know exactly what our gold is. Sometimes the demands of work and life, the expectations we carry, and the pressure-filled worlds we navigate can slowly pull us away from it. My coaching is about helping people find that gold again, understand it, and put it to work. Because finding your gold is only the beginning. As we reconnect with ourselves, we grow, stretch, and evolve. New possibilities emerge. Stay grounded. Find your compass. Discover your gold. Let yourself grow. Embrace what makes you unique. And remember that you are part of something bigger. That is the spirit behind Compass Within Collective.
